Fox Creek
The matriarch at Fox Creek is a feisty woman by the name of Helen Watts. She runs the winery together with her two daughters, Kristen and Georgy. There is a lot of women power here! Another daughter, Sarah, is the wine maker at Mollydooker Wines and Helen’s son, Paul is a “vine whisperer“ who coincidentally worked for my brother Steve at his vineyard in Tasmania. https://www.slw.com.au/ There are regular art exhibitions in the lovely cottage cellar door. Interested in sustainability, they were also one of the first venues in McLaren Vale to have a Tesla charger on site. Below is the luminescent green view through the tasting room window, and it’s winter! My painting is humbled in comparison!
